| Gale and Jane Coffman met at work, but it took a major
transaction for it to happen. Gale had been with the
company for two years when they bought a smaller
company. Gale worked for the second company. He is a
general superintendent, Jane a project manager. Gale has
been in HB for 18 years while Jane, raised in Cerritos,
has been here 8 years. They had their first date in HB.
The Coffmans are strong
supporters and advocates for local HB businesses. Among
their favorite places are Silvera’s, Longboards, Sugar
Shack, and Huntington Surf and Sport. They often hang
out at the pier and enjoy Tuesday nights downtown. One
of their favorite activities is people watching.
They have four kids,
including one son who lives locally in HB and a daughter
in Corona. All the kids were raised locally. Gale
coached softball for 14 years and also served as League
President.
The Coffmans are
another HB family that believes in family dinners
together. Regardless of other things going in their
lives, every Monday and Thursday the family gathers at
the house for a home cooked meal and an evening of
playing board games together.
